Very clean and nice facility. Staff is nice, but the people in the MRI department are slow and sad with no personality. Need better people to deal with in this department.

My moms treatments are here. When I come along and see how great everyone treats her, it makes me feel great that they are taking the time to care. Thank you for making it easier on my mother.

I have battled issues with my health for as long as I can remember, and now it's my husband that needed the help, and I was amazed watching how both quick and efficient they were at managing his situation and his needs with a sense of sincere care & urgency. They are truly on top of things--they do not waste any of your time waiting around for their service, for results, etc. and they do their absolute best to keep you educated and aware of your medical situation and finances at all times. We got here at about 6am and his appendix was out and he was ready to recover in the hospital room before 1:30. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful customer service all around--from the nurses, to the doctors/surgeons, to the front desk and security at the door.

My initial visit to the ER I was very unsatisfied they brushed me off.. gave me some cheap painkillers and sent me on my way I was forced to return less than 24 hours later and excruciating pain since I've been moved to a different floor the nurses have been better and trying to manage my pain very unsatisfied with my initial visit

Had an emergency appendectomy this Monday (June 2018) and let me tell you, I was impressed of how everything went and how I was treated. Got my own room in the new wing (one bed room), heck they even have a food menu if you can eat everything (I had to be on liquid first then soft food, but still very good). Dr.s and nurses were very kind and attentive, never was in pain or missed anything. Thank you Palos Community Hospital!

My experience at Palos hospital was amazing. I was extremely nervous having a c section for the first time, but the staff provided me with wounderful support. The three RNs that stood out the most was Michelle, Megan and Kim.C. Words can't explain how much I appreciated these ladies support.

I came in today very worried about my symptoms that I was having. Everyone who i came in contact with was extremely kind and made me feel welcomed and you can tell they genuinely care about you as a patient. I was seen by Dr.Lee, RN Dawn, and student nurse Basia. Thanks for taking care of me.

I would give a 3.5 if I could. The communication between doctors and family members is almost non existent. My family and I have taken several days off of work to be here to talk to the docs because my dad is deaf. There must be no communication between doctors and nurses. Because the nurses can't tell us what's going on or when the docs are coming in. It's a terrible thing to be left in limbo for a long time not knowing what's going on with your loved one. Please address this issue. There has to be some way to improve communication between doctors and the nurses at the very minimum. It's almost like it's the 1950's. There's technology at everyone's fingertips now. Use it.

My daughter was admitted on 3/13/18 to deliver her child. Many set backs happened during the course of events but the ultimate ending was a healthy mom and baby. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to all the Drs. ,nurses and staff that helped my daughter deliver a healthy baby. The entire staff went above and beyond the norm to extend such kind and compassionate caring and service. I highly recommend anyone seeking the best possible care to consider the maternity/delivery department at this hospital. Again thank you so very much, on behave of the Elrod family

The environment of the hospital is extremely well maintained and was nice to have private rooms for all patients. My daughter had multiple problems and required the use of many specialties. It did not seem at times each specialty related information to each other which in one sense may have compromised her overall care. It did not appear that staff used outside or alternate resources to arrive at a diagnosis for my daughter's complicated condition. The physicians involved, in my opinion, did not spend much time with the patient or family answering questions. Neither were the physicians readily accessible via phone or in person. The nursing staff in both the general medical unit and the ICU were very good and dedicated to the job. I would utilize the services of this hospital again but probably not for more complicated medical conditions.

I have nothing but praise and gratitude for every person and every experience I have had with Palos Health. I am a very healthy person so I don’t really need to utilize their services except in case of an emergency. My husband got hit in the head with an ice skate and knocked out. I drove him here and they took care of him like he had come in through an ambulance service. No waiting. No paperwork. No delays. No hassles. They had to do stiches but then they went above and beyond and they also performed a very extensive neurological exam to make sure that he didn’t have a brain bleed or anything. They were great. We also gave birth there and that was also a great experience. So, 10 stars from us.

Well...maybe the experience we had with inappropriate actions done to my father have changed some as it pertains to my Mom & possibly others. She has had 3 good experiences herself including most recent-so far. I am writing as she does not have a computer. While ALL are human first, some have more ineptitude than others. The fact is some go the extra step where others will not or do not. This is a general FACT in society. While in ER with Mom, myself & child our treatment was decent. Mom has said she likes the care they previously gave her so far, also the food service. We are waiting on further testing.

The birth of my child was done at this hospital. My overall visit was very relaxing and also I enjoyed the amendities after birth, and the kindness of the staff during my time there. I recommend to any one in the suburb area to seek delivery here if a choice of location is a option.

Had my baby here and they are so wonderful! I plan on having all of my Births Here actually. Special thanks to my favorite nurses: Tina, Michelle, Elise and a couple of more girls. Food could be better but other than that, I had a great 2 day experience in labor and delivery. :-)

I was admitted for a hysterectomy. I was staying on the maternity ward and I just wanted to take the time to compliment Luann, Alex, Jennifer, Susan and Tanya. They were all very caring and made sure i was comfortable and took very good care of me.I highly recommend this hospital.

Nicely updated & so clean! Drs & staff can treat average medical issues but need more specialty trained Drs. Maybe now that they are linked to Loyola Hospital some specialty medicine will come to this hospital

Let me start off by saying that the nurses at Palos Hospital, particularly the ones in the out patient area, are truly amazing and wonderful people. I can not praise them enough. I have trypanophobia, which in simple terms is an irrational fear of needles and/or injections. Due to my medication I need a blood test every 6 months. I have horrible anxiety during these test. I shake, cry, have a hard time breathing... The works. I've even fainted a few times. Nothing helps ease my anxiety. I've tried everything. And nothing helps in the slightest. Its embarrassing and I hate it but I can't help it. Every other hospital I've gone to has only made the already stressful experience worse. That was until I started going to Palos. They made a huge difference, more than I can describe. The nurses there truly care and have consistently helped ease my anxiety to a manageable level. They are angels and I can't thank them enough for being so understanding towards me. I 100% recommend Palos Hospital to anyone who shares my phobia or any anxiety for hospitals. These nurses truly care and make everything so much better by simply being the compassionate and understanding people they are.

I had Gallbladder surgery on April 21, 2017. It was all of a sudden. From the ER,to the CDU floor, to surgery, and back to the CDU floor, I had a remarkable experience. Everyone was incredible, helpful, and caring. From the doctors, the nurses, and the cnas, I can honestly say they are the best. I want to thank all of you that helped me through my bad experience.Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!

Excellent care in the emergency room, was seen within about ten minutes, was later admitted overnight. Not the greatest experience a couple of years ago, my opinion has changed. Dr. Cairo and Dr. Gandi are great, and every single RN I interacted with made a positive impact on my time there. CNAs were also solid. If I had to be hospitalized I'm glad it was here.

Clinically, they did their very best for my loved one. HOWEVER, they constantly insisted while my family member was unconscious, they were unaware of the things going on and SAID by NURSES around them. This is not true. Once awoken, everything that had gone on in the room was remembered and relayed to me. Do not expect patients cannot hear you talking about them. They do. And saying they are going to die, while they are physically trapped in in their own heads is pure torture. They should know better.

Very good experience with my husband. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. I am a nurse at another hospital and was more than satisfied with his care. My husband felt exactly the same way.
